Jaheim released three albums over five years: his 2001 debut, Ghetto Love; 2002's sophomore set, Still Ghetto - both of which reached RIAA platinum status; and 2006's Ghetto Classics. During that time, he also scored nominations for the BET and Soul Train Music Awards. In 2007, the chart-topping artist returned with his Atlantic Records debut, The Makings of a Man. After taking time off following the release of Ghetto Classics, Jaheim returned with a renewed focus on the direction in which he wants to take his career.

This is one of Jaheim's best products. It appears that he finally learned that he is a real singer, and he does not need to curse in songs. I recommend this CD to all...this is an excellent CD throughout.

Jaheim has finally come out with a gem of an Album that I can play without turning the volume down. He has always had the voice but, I was always concern about the lyrics on some of his previous album. However, this album is one of the best R&B that I've heard this year with the other two being Raheem Devaughn (The Love & War MasterPeace) and Joe (Signature).
The lead off track "Ain't Leavin' Without You" starts this album off right. I love "Finding my way back", "Till It Happens to You", "Her", "Closer", and "In My Hands". This album will always have a place on my iPod rotation. Great job Jaheim!

I love this CD! It's smooth, sexy, and grown up. I like all of Jaheim's previous CD's, but the language in a few of his previous cds had me skipping certain tracks. His lyrics have definitely matured, and his voice is as smooth and impressive as it has always been. Great buy!!
